MedTrac.net™
Smart Locator System

A smart locator system that can locate and track staff, patients and equipment on a real-time basis – providing valuable information and leading to efficient utilization of hospital resources and better patient care.

Underutilization of resources is a major concern for today’s hospitals, leading to increased costs and lower levels of patient satisfaction. The ability to track and analyze the movement of staff members and equipment enables hospital managements to maximize productivity and continue to deliver outstanding patient care. Understanding the impact that tracking networks have on the delivery of cost-efficient, high quality patient care, Intēgo™ developed MedTrac.net®.

In the smart locator system, staff members wear lightweight identification badges that transmit their location to receivers in rooms and corridors throughout the hospital. Each badge transmits a unique code that identifies staff members by name and nursing level. When integrated with the IntegoTM ProNet.netTM Nurse Call System, MedTrac.net® is able to locate staff members throughout the entire facility.

System Features:

  • User defined levels of identification (RN, LPN, CNA, etc.)
  • Displays real-time location of staff members wearing badges and equipment that has a transmitter attached
  • Integrated emergency feature button on the badge allow staff to signal for help
  • Reports may be generated for individuals, units or the entire facility showing movement of persons or equipment throughout the hospital, personnel movement into and out of specific areas with time stamps and location of selected equipment simplifying the scheduling of preventive maintenance
